ChatGPT bulk delete extensions compared
Five extensions that add multi-select to ChatGPT's sidebar, with what each one actually claims, what it costs, and how many people use it. Numbers read off the Chrome Web Store on 9 September 2026. I make one of these, Ultra Power, and I have written this so you can tell where the others are the better pick, because on several of these rows they are.
The table
| Extension | Users | Rating | Price | Undo after deleting |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Bulk Delete (qcrao.com) | 60,000 | 4.0 (409) | Free, bulk archive $0.99 once | Not mentioned |
| DeclutterGPT | 20,000 | 4.2 (84) | Free | Not mentioned |
| GPT Master | 9,000 | 4.8 (210) | Free tier, then $16/mo, $79/yr, $99 once | Not mentioned |
| ChatNeat | 2,000 | 4.4 (54) | Free | Not mentioned |
| Ultra Power (this site) | New, launched September 2026 | No ratings yet | Free tier, then $9.99/mo, $69/yr, $179 once | Yes, a trash you restore from |
How to read the undo column. "Not mentioned" means their own store listing does not claim an undo, a trash or a recovery step, which is not the same as testing each one and proving it lacks one. I have not installed and instrumented four competitors, and I am not going to write a comparison that pretends I did. If one of them does have a recovery path, tell me and this page gets corrected the same day.
GPT Master's prices come from their in-product upgrade screen, seen on 9 September 2026. Their marketing site does not state a price anywhere, and the lifetime figure was shown struck through from $149, so what you see may differ.
Where each one is the right answer
ChatGPT Bulk Delete, by qcrao
The category default, and by a distance: 60,000 users and 409 ratings against everyone else's double digits. Checkboxes in the sidebar, shift-click for a range, delete or archive. Bulk archive is a one-time $0.99, which is a fair way to charge for a small tool. If you want the thing most people use and you only need multi-select, start here. Its rating is the lowest of the five at 4.0, which with 409 ratings is a real signal rather than noise.
DeclutterGPT
Free, simple, 20,000 users, 4.2. Bulk select, delete, archive, and its listing is upfront that archiving moves chats without deleting them permanently. Nothing else in the box. If you want one job done for nothing, this is a reasonable pick.
GPT Master
The best-rated of the group at 4.8 from 210 ratings, and by far the widest: side chat, prompt library, minimap, timestamps, bookmarks, folders, and bulk actions as one feature among many. Their free tier is a weekly quota rather than a feature cut, and bulk actions are 20 a week on it. If you want a whole power-user surface over ChatGPT rather than a delete tool, they are the serious option, and their rating says people like it. It is also the most expensive per month of anything here.
ChatNeat
The only one that is not ChatGPT-only: it batch-manages history across Claude, Gemini and Grok too. Smallest install base of the group. If your chats are spread across three assistants, this is the one that covers them all in one place.
Ultra Power
Ours, and new, with the install count and the total absence of ratings that implies. The reason it exists is the last column: ChatGPT's delete is permanent, and every other tool here passes that straight through to you. Ultra Power puts a trash in front of it, so a bulk delete is reversible for 12 hours on the free plan, or 7 days on Pro, and the whole batch has an undo that survives a page reload.
Two more differences worth naming. Select all means your whole history, because the extension keeps a local index of every conversation rather than ticking the rows the sidebar has drawn. And the selection is held outside the page, so you can click through two hundred selected chats reading them, untick the keepers, and still delete exactly the set you meant.
What to actually check before installing any of them
- Does select all mean all? ChatGPT only draws the chats you have scrolled to. A tool that ticks visible rows is selecting forty chats, not your history.
- What happens if you are wrong? Deleting through ChatGPT's API cannot be undone by anyone. Either the tool keeps something in front of that, or a misclick is final.
- What leaves your browser? These extensions read your conversation list, and some read the conversations. Check the listing's privacy section and the permissions it asks for. Ultra Power talks to chatgpt.com and nothing else, with no account and no analytics.
- Does it handle project chats? ChatGPT mixes chats that belong to a project into the same list, which is an easy way to delete something you did not mean to.
- Is the free tier a cap or a trial? Ours is 25 chats per action, permanently, with no expiry.
The one with an undo
Checkboxes, shift-range select, select all across your whole history, and a trash you can restore from.
Add to Chrome Free up to 25 chats per action. Chrome 120 and up.
