Privacy policy

The short version: almost nothing leaves your browser. The extension has no accounts, no analytics and no telemetry, and it cannot see your ChatGPT data because that data never reaches us. The one exception is subscription renewal: a monthly or yearly subscriber's extension makes a single call to our licence endpoint to fetch a renewed key (see below). Lifetime purchasers are exempt and stay entirely zero-contact.
What the extension stores, and where
- Chat index. The titles and ids of your ChatGPT conversations are indexed locally in your browser so that select all can reach every chat, not just the ones the sidebar has drawn. This index is stored with the browser's extension storage and never transmitted.
- Selection, folders and trash. Which chats you have ticked, which folders you have created, and which chats are in the extension's trash all live in the same local storage.
- Licence key. Your licence key is stored locally and verified offline with a public key compiled into the extension. A lifetime licence never contacts our server at all: no activation call, no renewal call, ever. A monthly or yearly subscription licence is verified offline the same way, but does make one outbound renewal call, described below.
What the extension sends over the network
Requests go to exactly one place: chatgpt.com (and its legacy hostname chat.openai.com). When you delete, archive or move chats, the extension calls ChatGPT's own backend API on your behalf, in your session, the same way the site itself would. It sends nothing to us or to any third party.
Subscription renewal (subscribers only)
If you are on a monthly or yearly subscription, your licence key carries an expiry date. Around the time it renews, the extension makes one outbound call to our licence endpoint to fetch your freshly issued key. That call carries your existing licence key, which contains the email address you bought with, so the server can look up your subscription and return the new key. This is the only routine network call the extension makes to us, and it happens only for active subscribers. We log these renewal fetches to spot a single key being shared across many installations; we do not track your usage of the extension.
Lifetime purchasers are exempt. A lifetime key never expires and is never sent to us for any reason, so a lifetime user's extension stays completely zero-contact, exactly as it always has.
What we collect
Nothing beyond what is described above. No usage data, no error reports, no identifiers, no cookies. The subscription renewal call is the sole exception, and it is limited to what is needed to re-issue your key.
The purchase
If you buy a Pro licence, the payment is processed by Stripe on our checkout page, and the licence key is shown on the confirmation page and emailed to you. The order record (order id, the email you paid with, the issued key and a timestamp) is kept so you can recover a lost key. That record exists on the payment side only; the extension itself never talks to it.
Data removal
Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored, because everything it stored lives in your browser. To have a purchase record removed, email us from the address you paid with.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the change will be visible on this page. The core commitment, that the extension collects nothing and transmits nothing to us, will not change.
